New Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Garnered 718 Millions Views Within 24 Hours

Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Dayfilm is already breaking records. According to the studio, the trailer for the upcoming film reached 718 million views within the first 24 hours of release. This breaks the record previously held by Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool and Wolverine,” which received 365 million views upon the trailer’s release.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is set to release in theaters on July 31, 2026, with Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Zendaya as MJ. Daniel Destin Cretton (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings“) directs the latest installment of the franchise. Familiar faces such as Mark Ruffalo‘s Dr. Banner and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher are seen in the trailer.

In the upcoming film, four years have passed since the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) finds himself alone; his friends have no memories of him. He continues to protect his city as Spider-Man, but reaches a new chapter in his life as his powers evolve. The trailer shows him breaking out of his webs – potentially organic webbing? As his powers glitch, he seeks help from Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).

The trailer depicts a lonelier, more depressed Peter Parker as he struggles to balance his double life, amid the absence of his best friend and girlfriend. In the middle of it all, there are plenty of adversaries who cross his path: the Punisher, Scorpion, Boomerang, Tarantula, The Hand, and an unseen force.

About “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”:

Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
