Set in the 1970s, Minions: The Rise Of Gru is the prequel to its previous film Minions. The trailers gave us a look at just how chaotic things would get (come on, it’s the minions). In the film, a young Gru (Steve Carrell) try to join the supervillain group Vicious 6. When things don’t go as planned (they never do), Gru and the minions go on the run.
The Minions are as unruly and hilarious as we expected them to be. They’re the perfect comic relief alongside Gru’s mission to join Vicious 6. While The Rise Of Gru is a great family film, we felt that the previous “Despicable Me” films were better structured. Overall, Minions: The Rise Of Gru is fun and perfect for families.
