Star Wars fans got a look at the upcoming season of “The Mandalorian” during Monday night’s NFL Wild Card Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The highly anticipated show features Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they continue their adventure. Multiple Mandalorians were spotted in this trailer as well as a look at Mandalore, the homeworld of the Mandalorians. When the Dark Saber was revealed in the season one finale, many fans speculate the appearance of Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) or Sabine Wren as well as Mandalore. Bo-Katan’s appearance in season 2 meant we’re another step closer to getting to visit Mandalore in the show.
Aside from seeing Mandalore, the trailer also shows a group of Jedi defending the Jedi Temple. From the looks of it, this would take place during Order 66. We got a glimpse of a similar scene in episode one of “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. Does this mean we’ll find out more about Grogu’s past this season?
Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) will appear this season and we can see him welcoming Mando and Grogu back on Navarro. We also get a glimpse of Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) who we first met in season one. This could mean a deeper look into cloning and the test subjects inside the cylinders in his lab.
“The Mandalorian” is definitely a fan favorite and by the looks of this trailer, we’re in for a wild ride.
