After much speculation and many fan theories, Marvel has finally confirmed the cast of Fantastic Four. The superhero team will include Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Along with the cast announcement, Marvel also announced the new release date for Fantastic Four – July 25, 2025. The film was originally scheduled for May 2, 2025, which will now be Thunderbolt‘s new release date. On top of Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts, Marvel will also release Captain America: Brave New World and Blade next year.
As the news was announced on Valentine’s Day, Marvel posted a retro-styled Valentine to include the likeness of Pascal, Kirby, Quinn, and Moss-Bachrach as their respective characters.
Aside from the casting announcement, no other information about Fantastic Four was revealed, but with San Diego Comic-Con and D23 coming up later this year, we can most likely expect the plot and villain to be revealed then.
Fantastic Four will be helmed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters), with screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplin, and Ian Springer. Production is said to begin this summer.
