At the end of the trailer, a familiar voice says “I wasn’t planning on killing you, but you’re making it very tempting.” With a flash of her lightsaber – now yellow – and a new hairstyle, Asajj Ventress has made her return to Star Wars TV sphere.
In an interview with StarWars.com, supervising director Brad Rau talks about her return, “We love Asajj Ventress. She’s a character that we’ve been wanting to tell more stories about,” and while Rau remains tight-lipped on her storyline in the upcoming season, he states they will honoring her arc in from prior tales, including the book ‘Star Wars: Dark Disciple.’
We don’t want to spoil anything, but want fans to know that any new storytelling with Ventress will align with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple.
