“Prey” – The Best Since The First Predator Movie

Prey takes place in 1719, and focuses on a young Comanche woman named Naru (Amber Midthunder) who longs to become a great hunter. Once she realized there’s an alien predator that hunts humans for sport, she’ll do whatever it takes to keep her people safe. The film serves as a prequel to “Predator” which was released in 1987 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. “Prey” is directed by Dan Trechtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane).

The film takes the audience through suspense and edge-of-your-seat thrills as the Predator closes in on Naru and her tribe. While the movie does a great job of showing members of Naru’s tribe and their daily lives, the focus remains on Naru. Amber Midthunder absolutely shines in this movie, nailing all of the emotional nuance and action scenes.

While this movie is only streaming on Hulu, the sound design, cinematography, and performance will make us wish it was released in theaters. Check out our full review below:
