“Kpop Demon Hunters” Sing-Along Version Is Coming To Your TV!

Calling all Hunters and Pride fans! Ready to seal the Honmoon from your living room? Netflix’s animated phenomenon “Kpop Demon Hunters” is releasing a sing-along version globally on August 25.

Since its June 20 release, the film has become the most popular Netflix original animated film of all time. The soundtrack has been dominating across the globe, with the powerhouse song “Golden” hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Due to its popularity, a special sing-along version got a one-weekend-only limited theatrical release, in 2,180 theaters across the US, Canada, UK/Ireland, and Australia/New Zealand, with over 1,300 sold-out screenings across the US.

If you missed this theatrical release, don’t worry! Starting August 25, the sing-along version will stream on Netflix, so grab your lightsticks and sing your hearts out.

To celebrate the sing-along weekend event, actors Arden Cho (speaking voice of Rumi), May Hong (speaking voice of Mira), Ken Jeong (voice of Bobby), with singers REI AMI (singing voice of Zoey) and Kevin Woo (singing voice of Mystery Saja) joined directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, and Michelle L.M. Wong make special apperances at events in New York and Los Angeles. The Empire State Building created a light show (synced to “Golden”) as a part of the celebration.

Netflix also held a special screening at the Netflix Tudum Theater in Hollywood ahead of the weekend’s events. The screening was filled with fans dressed in Huntr/x and Saja Boys attire, enthusiastically singing along to the movie’s soundtrack. Stars Arden Cho and Ken Jeong were also in attendance. Singer/songwriter EJAE (singing voice of Rumi) made a special appearance, and held a meet-and-greet following the screening.
