Everyone’s favorite Flora Colossus is back in a brand new trailer announcing a second season of the animated shorts. Five new episodes of I Am Groot will premiere on Disney+ this September, promising even more mischief -and a catchy remix of The Entertainer – with Baby Groot.
Season 2 will see Baby Groot explore the universe, coming across things like a space ice cream truck, building a giant snowman mech, an ancient temple filling up with lava, growing a nose, and more. As we already saw with season one, no matter what sort of mischief Groot gets himself into, it will be hilarious, sometimes shocking, and heartwarming.
There are also some easter eggs spotted in the trailer, such as the Watcher (from Marvel’s What If) and a Howard the Duck ice cream! Kristen Lepore, writer/director of season one returns for season 2, as well as Vin Diesel to voice the character. I Am Groot will premiere on September 6, which coincides with National Tree Day.
