If they hear you, they will hunt you. Gearing up for this year’s horror season, Universal Studios has announced a brand new maze inspired by John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place. This will be the first time a haunted house at HHN to incorporate the use of American Sign Language (ASL) to capture the authenticity of the film. Sound design, special effects, and the scareactors’ performances will also be unique to the film in order to convey the ominous sense of dread.
Parkgoers will venture through iconic scenes from the first two films in the “A Quiet Place” franchise, including walking through a farmhouse where the Abbott family stayed. Guests will also walk through the root cellar where Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) delivered her baby as the monster closes in. These terrifying creatures will stalk guests at every turn.
The bigger question is, will you scream or stay silent?
Ghostbusters Returns To Halloween Horror Nights
Another movie IP making its way to Halloween Horror Nights is Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The franchise have appeared at HHN before, but it was based on the 1984 movie rather than the newer films. This brand-new maze will transport fans of the film franchise to New York City, where the Spengler family teams up with the original Ghostbusters, who are now at the helm of a top-secret research lab for their ghost-busting enterprise.
As guests venture through the haunted houses, they will find themselves in the sinister world of the supernatural, from Ray’s Occult Books shop to the Ghostbuster’s new high-tech lab and containment facility to the dank New York City sewer system. Fans will embark on this petrifying journey alongside the Ghostbusters, encountering iconic ghosts who slime and nefarious villains who are out for revenge – all while trying to escape an army of ghastly creatures bent on cracking bones and turning their veins into rivers of ice. As they navigate their way through freezing and frightening conditions, the Ghostbusters will need their wit and humor to defend the city they love from a terror too chilling to believe.
A Quiet Place and Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire haunted houses will appear at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando.
