New Trailer For Five Nights At Freddy’s Brings Freddy And Friends To Life

The official trailer #2 for Blumhouse's "Five Nights at Freddy's" introduces characters Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy, and Chica.

Can you survive five nights at Freddy’s? The popular horror game is being adapted into a feature-length film, produced by Blumhouse (M3GAN, The Black Phone, The Invisible Man). The film will star Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) as Mike, Elizabeth Lail (You) as Vanessa, Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy) as Abby, Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost) as Abby’s babysitter, Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot) as Aunt Jane, and Matthew Lillard (Good Girls) as Steve Raglan.

Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a security guard as he begins his new job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Mike (Josh Hutcherson) soon realizes that making it through the night shifts at Freddy’s won’t be as easy as he thought. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

The film follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson; Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise) a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio; Holly & Ivy, Unstable), and haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother more than a decade before.

Recently fired and desperate for work so that he can keep custody of Abby, Mike agrees to take a position as a night security guard at an abandoned theme restaurant: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. But Mike soon discovers that nothing at Freddy’s is what it seems. With the aid of Vanessa, a local police officer (Elizabeth Lail; You, Mack & Rita), Mike’s nights at Freddy’s will lead him into unexplainable encounters with the supernatural and drag him into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.

This is the second trailer for the upcoming movie and gives the viewers a better look at the iconic characters: Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy, and Chica. The iconic animatronic characters are created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. This trailer dives into the history of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, how it is tied to the mysterious disappearance of kids years ago, and how it led to the eventual shutdown of the business.

The popular video game was created by Scott Cawthon and released on August 8, 2014. Due to its popularity, there are now 9 iterations of the game. In the game, players must guard themselves against the animatronics by using a handful of tools such as security cameras and controlling the security doors. However, the power supply connected to the cameras and doors can deplete during the game, rendering the players defenseless against Freddy and his friends.
