Upcoming Disney+ original series “American Born Chinese” announces an exciting list of guest stars. The action-comedy show is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen-Yang. The series, produced by 20th Television will debut on Disney+ this spring.
Guest stars include Academy-Award nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Ronny Chieng (Shang-Chi), Poppy Liu (Hacks), Jimmy O. Yang (Easter Sunday), James Hong (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Leonard Wu (The Prophecy) , Lisa Lu (Crazy Rich Asians), and Rosalie Chiang (Turning Red). The series stars Michelle Yeoh, Key Huy Quan, Daniel Wu, Ben Wang, Yeo Yann Yann, Chin Han, Jimmy Liu, and Sydney Taylor.
American Born Chinese is a coming-of-age story, centered around Jin Wang (Ben Wang), an average teenager juggling his high school social life with his home life. When he meets a new foreign student on the first day of the school year, even more worlds collide as Jin is unwittingly entangled in a battle of Chinese mythological gods.

The series is produced by Emmy Award-winning writer/producer Kelvin Yu (Bob’s Burger, Central Park). Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) is set to direct and serve as executive producer alongside Melvin Mar, Jake Kasdon, Erin O’Malley, Asher Goldstein, and Gene Luen Yang.
