In the finale for the Disney+ series Secret Invasion, fans eagerly awaited the official introduction of the Super Skrull to the MCU. Power such as the Extremis virus, Flora Colossus, Frost Beast, and Cull Obsidian were hinted at throughout the series. The machine built in New Skrullos imbued Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) with those powers, but he sought after “The Harvest”, which contained the DNA of various members of the Avengers and beyond – basically anyone in the final battle in Avengers: Endgame, in which Nick Fury called “The Battle For Earth”
As Gravik placed the vial into a scanner, the computer screen showed exactly whose DNA was collected. Below is a list of the powers listed in order of appearance:
- Ghost
- Captain America
- Corvus Glave
- Thanos
- Outrider
- Proxima Midnight
- Captain Marvel
- Abomination
- Mantis
- Cull Obsidian
- Drax
- Korg
- Ebony Maw
- Frost Beast
- Hulk
- Black Panther
- Chitauri
- Valkyrie
- Thor Odinson
- Gamora
- Flora Colossus (Groot)
- Winter Soldier
One of the names on the list that raises some curiosity is the DNA of Ghost, who was not on the battlefield during Avengers: Endgame. So how did Nick Fury and his team of Skrull collectors get their hands on her DNA? Ghost has not made an appearance since Ant-Man and the Wasp, which begs the question of when her DNA was obtained.
The finale for Secret Invasion left viewers with more questions than answers, which we hope to see answered in upcoming projects such as The Marvels, expected to arrive in theaters this November.
