BLACKPINK’s Lisa Cast In Season 3 Of “White Lotus”

Blackpink‘s rapper and main dancer, Lisa, is adding acting to her resume. Lisa has been confirmed to join the cast of “White Lotus” for season 3. This will be her acting debut, and she will be credited as Lalisa Manobal (her given name). White Lotus will take place in Thailand for season 3, filming in locations such as Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.

Lisa will star alongside an expansive cast including Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O’Reilly, Carrie Coon, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Scott Glenn, Nicholas Duvernay, Francesca Corney, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola.

No word yet on what Manobal’s role will be. Manobal is the second member of Blackpink to make her US acting debut. Main rapper Jennie Kim made her acting debut in Max’s “Idol” starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weekend. Blackpink’s Jisoo Kim has already made her acting debut in South Korea with period drama “Snow Drop” and is set to star in the upcoming fantasy movie “Omniscident Reader’s Viewpoint” and thriller series “Influenza”

Following Blackpink’s most recent world tour, the members renewed their contract as a group with YG Entertainment but not individually. This means YG will not manage the members’ solo activities. Manobal, as well as fellow member Jennie Kim, have both launched their own companies to manage their individual solo activities.

Manobal’s company, LLOUD release the following missions statement:

At LLOUD, our passion as an artist management company is to create experiences that transcend genres and connect generations. Our core lies in relentless innovation and a commitment to authenticity. We’re not just pushing boundaries; we’re redefining them, crafting chart-topping and genre-defying music. Embrace the beginning of the LLOUD era with us.

Manobal’s singles “Lalisa” and “Money” topped the charts, and was the first K-pop female artist to win at the MTV Video Music Awards.
