Get ready to dive back into Atlantis in the new trailer for DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Following the events of 2018’s Aquaman, Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) successfully prevented his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) from starting a war and assumed the role of King of Atlantis. However, his nemesis Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is back with a vengeance. He now holds a powerful weapon known as the Black Trident. This forces Arthur to work with Orm to defend Atlantis.
The trailer is filled with easter eggs, from Aquaman riding his seahorse Storm to his son Arthur Curry Jr., to the Octobot. The film is directed by James Wan who helmed the first film, and will debut in theaters on December 20.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will also star Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Temura Morrison as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Amber Heard as Mera.
