The first trailer for “A Quiet Place: Day One” has arrived and shows how the terrifying event unfolds in the not-so-quiet city of New York. The film serves as a prequel and a spin-off for the “A Quiet Place” franchise. Starring Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), Alex Wolff (Hereditary), and Djimon Hounsou (Rebel Moon), and helmed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig)
The franchise is centered around the invasion of an alien species with incredible hearing abilities. They’re attracted to and hunt by sound, making them extremely deadly. In the first two films, the Abbott family avoided the creatures by altering their lives to create little to no sound.
The trailer starts out as a typical day in New York – busy and bustling until alien species crash down into the streets to begin their invasion, leaving a trail of destruction. Djimon Hounsou, who was in A Quiet Place: Part 2, can be seen in the trailer, which means we’ll get a better look into his backstory.
