As we approach the Halloween season, Universal Studios Resorts has announced its lineup of brand new haunted houses for the 2023 season. In October of 2022, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando revealed the first maze for the 2023 season – “Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count” Inspired by the USA and SyFy hit series, the iconic killer doll will be unleashed at both theme parks.
The critcally acclaimed series based on popular video game “The Last Of Us” will also make an appearance for the 2023 season:
Halloween Horror Nights
“Stranger Things” will make its return once again, inviting fans to enter the UpsideDown. With a brand-new haunted house, guests will encounter the Season 4 supernatural villain, Vecna, alongside Eleven, Max, Eddie, and more. The new maze will include iconic scenes from the show such as the Creel house and Mind Lair.
Recently, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood have announced even more haunted houses, including “The Exorcist: Believer,” and “Universal Monsters: Unmasked.” Based on the upcoming film, “The Exorcist: Believer” guests will be transported to a busy street market in Haiti, where an innocent purchase of a strange doll with three eyes leads to the opening of a demonic portal. The maze will then follow the events that haunts two 12-year-old girls who disappeared in the woods. Once home, the girls begin to exhibit strange behaviors and it becomes clear that the only thing that can help them is through the ritual of exorcism.
Classic Universal monsters make their return in “Universal Monsters: Unmasked.” The guests will be taken into the sinister catacombs, filled with notorious monsters such as The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and The Invisible Man.
At Florida’s Universal Orlando, you can expect five new original haunted houses:
- Dr. Oddfellow: Twisted Origins
- Dueling Dragons: Choose Thy Fate
- YETI: Campground Kills
- The Darkest Deal
- Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings
The horror begins on September 1, 2023 for Universal Orlando Resort, and September 7 for Universal Studios Hollywood. For ticketing information, visit www.halloweenhorrornights.com
